To view an individual document within Equinox:

  1. Open the case the document is saved to 
  2. Go to the Documents tab
  3. Click on the name of the document you would like to view

The table below outlines the default document information displayed when viewing an individual document within Equinox:

 

Document Information

Description

Check Out Functionality

This section of the screen advises users if another user in the system is editing the document to prevent multiple users working on a document simultaneously. For more information on this functionality, please see the section on ‘Document Check In/Out’.

 

Details

The document Details section displays fields of information that can be used to record information about the document. Please see the section on ‘Viewing/Editing Document Details’.

 

History

The History section provides an audit of any updates or actions users have completed on the document.


 

Version

If the document file has been updated or edited, the Version section stores copies of previous files that were uploaded to Equinox. 

 

Preview

The Preview panel displays the content of the document file. 

Note: Previews are not available for RFT files.

 

 


Document History


The History section provides an audit of any updates or actions users have completed on the document. 


This is used to track document updates, when a document has been checked out or checked in etc.


To view the Document History:

  1. Open a case and go to the Documents tab
  2. Click on the name of the document
  3. Click on the section called ‘History’ to expand and view the details


The following information is displayed:

  • Change: Action done to the document
  • Before: The document data before the change
  • After: The document data saved after the change
  • Date: When the update was completed
  • User: The user that has updated the document



Document Versions


If a document file has been updated or edited, the Version section stores copies of previous files that were uploaded to Equinox. 


To view the Document Version:

  1. Open a case and go to the Documents tab
  2. Click on the name of the document
  3. Click on the section called ‘Versions’ to expand and view the details


The following information is displayed:

  • Version: Number
  • Replaced at: Date the new file was uploaded
  • Size: Size of the file
  • Download: Click this link to download a copy of the version
