Custom Dates Overview
Custom Dates are used when the task deadlines aren't derived from a case date or set date.
You can create more than one custom date within a pre-set. You can also define a relationship between the custom dates to automatically calculate more complex deadlines.
Any custom dates used within the pre-set are listed on the right of the screen beneath the pre-set Details. This section will display No Custom Dates if none have been created within the pre-set you are viewing.
Note: If all tasks within the pre-set are calculated from a Custom Date, use ‘Set Date’ as the Primary Base Date of the pre-set. This will prompt users to only enter the Custom Date when the pre-set is added to a case.
Create a Custom Date
To create a custom date in Equinox:
Go to System > Pre-set Tasks
Click on a pre-set
Click Add Date on the right of the Dates section
Enter the Name of the date and any Description
Click Update to save the custom date
Set the custom date as the Base Date for a task
To set the custom date as the Base Date for a task:
Click Edit next to the task
Select Custom Date next to the Base Date option
Choose the date to use
Configure the offset of how the deadline should be calculated from the Base Date
Click Update to save
Define Custom Date Relationships
When multiple Custom Dates are created in a pre-set, additional fields are available to define how the Custom Dates are related:

| Calculated From | This is used to specify if one Custom Date should be calculated from another Custom Date within the pre-set. Once the calculation date has been recorded, click ‘Update’ to save. |
| Default Calculation | If a Custom Date has been saved in the ‘Calculated From’ field users can enter how the dates are related to each other. Offset: Enter how Custom Date Y should be calculated from Custom Date X e.g. 1 Week After Custom Date X When adding this pre-set to a case, Custom Date X will be recorded and Custom Date Y will be calculated automatically. PCT Deadline (30 or 31 Months): Specify if this Custom date should be calculated from the automatic PCT deadline. |
| Order | Number the Custom Dates so they are listed in the desired order within the pre-set on the case. |
