The ‘Drag and Drop’ option allows users to quickly upload documents saved on their PC to a case within Equinox.
This functionality can be used to upload multiple files to the same case.
1. Click on the Documents tab > Click the ‘Drag and Drop’ button
OR
Click the ‘Documents D&D’ in the left hand menu on the case Details screen
2. Open your File Explorer by clicking ‘Choose Files’ in the top left or from your PC Start Menu
3. Select a file/files from your PC and drag them into Equinox OR select ‘Open’
> The file names and size will be listed
4. Assign the files to a folder using the drop down list (optional)
5. Amend the date, if necessary (it will default to today’s date)
6. Click ‘Start Upload’ to save the files to the case
> Upload a single file by clicking the icon next to the file name
> Upload multiple files by clicking ‘Start Upload’ at the top
7. Click ‘Cancel Upload’ to stop the files being saved to the case
> Cancel a single upload by clicking the icon next to the file name
> Cancel multiple files by clicking ‘Cancel Upload’ at the top
Once the files are uploaded, click ‘Back’ to return to the Documents tab of the case.
Drag and Drop Shortcut
It is also possible to drag files directly to the Documents tab and save them to Equinox.
If you use this shortcut to save documents to a case, you will not have the option to record a document folder or date.
Note: When uploading files using the Drag and Drop functionality you will not be able to assign the documents to a user within the system or record any other document details.
The status of the document will default to ‘Complete’.
