When adding Time charges to a case, these will have a status of ‘Not Finalised’.
Charges with this status will not appear on the Charge Approval screen yet and cannot be billed.
The attorney/fee earner has a chance to make changes to the charge details (e.g. amount, description, time) before marking the charge as finalised.
To do this:
- Go to the Charges tab of a case
- Click on a ‘Time’ charge that is ‘Not Finalised’
- Click ‘Ready for Approval’ in the top right of the screen
- The charge status will be updated to ‘Waiting for Approval’
