There are various ways to create licensee contacts in your system that are outlined in the table below:
Option | Description |
1. Within the Address Book | This is the standard way to create new licensees: - Go to the Address Book tab
- Click on the ‘Applicant and Inventor Contacts’ section
- Click ‘Add Contact’
- Select Organisation or Individual
- Choose Licensee as the category
- Fill in the Details
- Link the Licensee to a Client Organisation as a Statutory Contact (Optional)
- Click ‘Save’ to add the contact or ‘Cancel’ to prevent the changes being saved

2. Within An Organisation Statutory Contact List | When viewing a Client, Associate or Other Side Contact in the Address Book it is possible to create Inventors, Applicants and Licensees as Statutory Contact. - Go to the Address Book tab and click on an Organisation
- Click ‘Add New’ next to Statutory Contacts in the bottom right
- Fill in the Details
- Click ‘Save’ to add the contact or ‘Cancel’ to prevent the changes being saved
The contact will automatically be linked to the Organisation as a Statutory contact. |
3. From a Person/Location | A licensee contact can be generated from an existing Person or Location in a Client/Associate/Other Side Organisation: - Go to the Address Book tab and find the Client Organisation
- Click on a Location OR Person
- Click ‘Generate Licensee’ in the left hand menu
- The Person/Location will be created as an Inventor straightaway and will be linked as a Statutory Contact to the Client
- Amend any Details and Click Save
