This article explains how to schedule a report in Equinox.

How to schedule a report

To schedule a report in Equinox:

  1. Click 'Reports' in the toolbar at the top of Equinox

  2. Select 'Scheduled Reports' from the 'Settings' section

  3. Click the 'Schedule New' button on the 'Schedule Reports Management' page

  4. A 'Schedule Report' pop-up will appear. In this pop-up you can schedule:

    • Which report to send

    • The email address you want to send it to

    • The format you want to send the report in

    • When the report should be sent

  5. Click 'Create'

  6. The report is now visible on your Scheduled reports screen, and will be emailed at the defined time.

Example - Scheduling a weekly report 

In this example, we want to schedule a report to go out weekly at 9:00 on a Monday morning. To schedule this report:

  1. Select the report you want to send

  2. Enter the email address you want to send the report to

  3. Set the frequency as 'Weekly'

  4. Set the time to '9:00'

  5. Click 'Create'

  6. The report is now visible on your Scheduled reports screen, and will be emailed at the defined time.

Example - Scheduling a report to go out multiple times per month

In this example, we have a report that we need to go out at 8:00 every 1st, 14th and 28th of the month. To schedule this report:

  1. Select the report you want to send

  2. Enter the email address you want to send the report to

  3. Set the frequency as 'Monthly'

  4. Set the time to '8:00'

  5. Tick '1', '14' and '28' in the 'Days to send' field

  6. Click 'Create'

  7. The report is now visible on your Scheduled Reports Screen, and will be emailed on the defined dates.

Formatting scheduled reports

Equinox supports scheduled reports in the following formats:

  • Excel

  • PDF

  • CSV

Filtering out empty reports

In this example, you have a report that comes in at 7:00 every day. The report often doesn't have any data in it. You don't want to waste time checking the report if it will likely be empty.

Tick the box next to 'Don't send if results are empty' to ensure the report is only sent when the report has results included.
