It is possible to manually generate ad-hoc correspondence from the Contacts tab of a case.
There are 3 different types of options to generate correspondence in this area of the system:
Option | Icon | Description |
Blank Emails |
| This option enables you to generate a blank email with a pre-defined subject line, using your PC’s default email software. Users can type the content of the email before sending.
The email subject of blank emails is configured under System > Email Subjects.
Note: This option is only available if the contact has an email address recorded in the Address Book. |
Blank Letters |
| This option enables you to generate a blank letter using a Standard Template.
This option is only available if you have configured a blank letter template within your system. For more information on setting up a blank letter template, please see ‘Set up a Blank Letter Template’.
Note: There is a short cut to generate blank letters in the left hand menu of a case. |
Correspondence Templates |
| This option enables users to generate Standard or Smart Templates uploaded within your system.
- Use the filters to find the template you want to generate - Click on the template name
Standard Templates will download the generated correspondence from your internet browser. Smart Templates will generate a task to produce your correspondence. Please see ’Process a Smart Correspondence Task’ |
