This article outlines how to setup the export invoices from Equinox to a third party software that can produce a LEDES invoice.

LEDES, or the Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard, is a set of file format specifications intended to standardise bill/invoice data transmitted electronically (“e-billed”) from a law firm to a corporate client.

The LEDES export functionality within Equinox will need to be enabled within your account settings before this option is available on the Finance tab.

1. Please contact our support team for more information on how to configure the LEDES export

You would need to let us know:

• What software you use to submit LEDES invoices
• The e-billing format required to import LEDES invoices to the software you use e.g. LEDES 1998BI

2. Our Support team will work with you to map your Equinox fields into your LEDES export file

• Using the Excel attachment on this article, fill out as much information as you can.
• Our team will review the completed sheet with the development team.
• If we need further clarification on anything we will get in touch via email.

3. Our development team will create your LEDES CSV export and we will enable the LEDES export functionality

• We aim to have this produced within a month, however this may take longer if there are any export validation issues

Once the LEDES export is enabled, we advise testing this with a dummy invoice to confirm that it is working as expected.
