This article outlines why a file may be emailed to Equinox and saved without a Document Date.

When forwarding emails into Equinox users can set the date of the document by entering the date in the following format within the email subject line: #yyyy-mm-dd#

If you do not enter a date, the email and attachments will be saved to Equinox with the date you send it to Equinox.

However, if your email subject contains other information between '#' characters, Equinox will try to read this as a date and when the date cannot be determined, the file is saved without one.

e.g. 'Ref: |P0001GB| #IMPORTANT INFORMATION#'

As a result, when using the 'email to Equinox' function we do not recommend using '#' characters in your email subjects unless you are using them to set the document date in Equinox.

If a file has been saved to Equinox without a date you can add the date by amending the Document details. Please see 'View/Edit a Document' for more information.

Please see 'Email Files to Equinox' for more information.
