Find the Renewal Laws tab

You'll find the Renewal Laws tab can be found in the toolbar at the top of the IP Law Portal. It’s the second tab from the right. It’s accessible from every screen within the IP Law Portal.


 

Information in the Renewal Laws tab

The Renewal Laws tab displays information about the current renewal laws in all legal jurisdictions Equinox monitors.

 

 

Types of IP Equinox tracks renewal laws for

Equinox tracks the renewal laws for the following types of intellectual property.

  • Patents
  • Trademarks
  • Utility Models
  • Registered Designs


You can search for a particular kind of IP renewal law by using the 'IP Type' dropdown menu below:

Find the renewal laws for a specific jurisdiction

You can find all the renewal laws for a specific jurisdiction by using the Country dropdown menu and selecting the country you're looking for information on.



Example - Renewal Laws in Belize

In this example, we're going to look at how to find renewal law information for all types on intellectual property handled in Belize. 

  1. Select All from the IP Type dropdown menu
  2. Select Belize from the Country dropdown menu
  3. Click the Search button
     
  4. You can now see an overview of renewal laws relating to Designs, Patents, Trade Marks and Utility Models in Belize

Say you want to know more about renewal laws for designs in Belize. To view more information:


  1. Click the plus sign on the right-hand side of the page on the above screen


 

2. The column expands to show you more detailed information about design renewal laws in Belize


 


Find renewal laws information for international organisations

You can find renewal law information for international organisations like the EUIPO, EPO and WIPO by selecting them from the Countries dropdown menu.
