Finding the official date and number mapping tools

To find the official date and number mapping tools:

  1. Go to System > Copy Case Settings

  1.  You'll be taken to the Copy Case Settings page. This lists any rules set up already in your system.

Adding a rule

To add a new rule to the Copy Case Settings page:

  1. Click the green Add button

  2. This opens a page where you can add a new rule for date and number mapping.

The information you'll see on this page is:

    Field nameField description
Case categoryThe category of the child case that the rule will apply to
Case sub categoryThe sub category of the child case that the rule will apply to
Case countryThe country of the child case that the rule will apply to
Copy fromThe field on the parent case that the data will be copied from
Copy toThe field on the child case that the data will be copied to
Include dateTick to copy the date
Include countryTick to copy the country
Include numberTick to copy the number

    1. When you set up date and number mapping here, this means the rule will apply when you open a child case that matches all of these selected filters. E.g., If you had patent, validation of EP, All – the rules would kick in when you open a child case that matches all these filters. If only some filters match, the rule won't kick in.

Note: You can add multiple rules for the same case type for each date.

    2. After you've selected the fields you require for this rule, click the green Create button at the bottom right of the page.

    3. When you've successfully set up a rule, you'll see it listed on the Copy Case Settings page. You'll also see a notification on the bottom right of the page, letting you know the rule has been created.

Deleting a rule

To delete a rule from the Copy Case Settings page:

  1. Click the red Delete button to the right of the case you want to delete

  2. You'll see a notification on the bottom right of the page, letting you know the rule has been deleted
