Enable the Bulk Update Documents functionality

To enable the Bulk Update Documents functionality in your system:

  1. Go to System > System Permissions 

  2. Scroll down to Bulk Update Documents Report

  3. Select the permission you want from the dropdown menu

Note: Only Admin users can enable or disable the Bulk Update Documents functionality.

Bulk update documents on a case

To bulk update documents on a case:

  1. Go to Reports > Report Generator 

  2. Click Case & document

  3. Enter the report title, description and report user

  4. Click Next

  5. Enter document title in the Search for Columns box.

    Note: Your report must include the 'document title' column for you to be able to update any documents in the report. 

  6. The Reporting screen will show you the document title column and any other columns you've selected

  7. Click Adjust documents in selection

    Note: If you can't see this button, that means you've not got the correct permissions to update documents. Contact your Admin user to enable this permission.

  8. The Select Field to Adjust popup will appear

  9. Select the field you want to adjust from the dropdown menu - in this case, we'll update the document title

  10. Click Go

  11. Tick the checkboxes to the left of the titles you want to edit 

  12. Enter the new title you want to rename the documents

  13. Click Go

  14. To view your successful bulk update, go to System Tools > Bulk Update Log 

  15. You'll be able to see a time log of all bulk updates made in your system
