This article provides examples of how to edit data via the User Edit screen.

Note: Users require certain permissions to access this functionality.

Edit a user's personal details

To edit a user's personal details (e.g., to reflect a change of name):

  1. Go to the User Titles/Settings box

  2. Enter the updated details in the relevant field (e.g., type the new surname in the Surname field)

  3. Click Update at the bottom right of the page to save your changes

    Note: Email addresses added to the Secondary Email field will be CC'd in our automatic overnight reminder emails.



Change the email address associated with an account

To change the email address associated with an Equinox account:

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Enter the new email in the Email field


Reset a password

To reset a user's password:

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Enter a new password in the Reset Password to field

    Note: The password must meet the requirements that are set on your system.

  3. Click Update at the bottom right of the page to save your changes

Change/disable 2FA

If you're having issues with two factor authentication (2FA) you can temporarily disable it for an account.

To change or disable 2FA:

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Set the Two Factor Authentication dropdown menu to Disabled 

  3. To re-enable 2FA later, set the Two Factor Authentication dropdown menu to By Email Address or By SMS Text 

  4. Click Update to save your changes

Disable an account

You no longer need to contact Equinox to disable a user account. 

To disable an account:

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Tick the box next to Set user to inactive

     

  3. Click Update at the bottom right of the page to save your changes. This will deactivate the account immediately and the user will no longer be

Update a user's charge rate

To update a user's charge rate

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Enter the user's new charge amount in the Charge Rate box 

Unlock an account

If a user's account has been locked (e.g., because they've entered the wrong password multiple times), you can unlock their account for them. To do this:

  1. Go to the Login Details box

  2. Enter a new password for the account

  3. Click the red Unlock button in the top right corner of the Login History box 

  4. Click Update at the bottom right of the page to save your changes
