Note: User accounts still need to be created within Equinox and given a password. The email address must match the email address of the user on the SSO solution who is granted access to the application. If no user is found on Equinox with the authenticated SSO email, they will get an authentication error once they try to log in through the SSO portal.
Configure SSO for Equinox
Note: Users require specific permissions to configure SSO permissions.
To configure SSO in Equinox:
Go to System > System Preferences
Click the Single Sign On tab
This opens the Single Sign On screen
Tick the box next to Enable SSO
In the Login Portal Title field, enter the title you want to appear on your company's SSO login page
In the Login Portal Sub-title field, enter the subtitle you want to appear on your company's SSO login page
Note: These fields are Equinox configuration fields that don't depend on the SSO SAML Provider you're using.
The information you need to enter in the SSO IDP Name and SSO Metadata URL fields depends on which SSO SAML provider you're using. See our articles on Azure AD and Okta above for more information.
Click Update to implement your changes
You can now log into Equinox using your company's unique SSO login page by navigating to your login URL, which will be in the format of:
https://[SERVER]/login/[ORGREF]
You'll see a bespoke SSO login page for your organisation
Click the Single Sign-On button to log in via SSO
