This article explains how you can set and customise your system language in Equinox.

Set Your Display Language

Equinox offers several display languages that can be set per user in System > User Preferences > General, and select Display Language. The following languages are available: 

  • French

  • German

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Spanish


System Wordings (also known as Preference Words) 

System Wordings allows users to customise key terms in their systems. To customise these terms for different display languages, navigate to System > System Wordings and select the applicable language from the top-right dropdown. Then make the necessary updates. When viewing Equinox in the designated display language (System > User Preferences > Display Language), you will see the changes. However, due to grammatical considerations for certain languages, you may not see these changes applied everywhere. Reach out to support@equinox-ipms.com for more information.


Manage Dropdowns and Matter Categories 

The values stored in System > Manage Dropdowns and System > Matter Categories are present for all users in the system, regardless of their User Preferences Display Language. This includes values for categories and subcategories, statuses, task types, etc. (see https://help.equinox-ipms.com/en/support/solutions/articles/8000107271-manage-dropdowns). If you notice values in your system in a different language than your display language, please check with your system administrator.


Translation Feedback and Improvements 

Equinox supports multiple display languages to help users work more comfortably in their preferred language. While we strive to provide accurate and clear translations, some system text may not yet reflect the most natural or precise wording for a specific language or may appear untranslated in certain areas of the application.

If you encounter wording that seems unclear, incorrect, or inconsistent in your selected display language, and you have checked System Wordings, Manage Dropdowns, and Matter Categories, we encourage you to report it to our support team. Your feedback helps us continuously improve the quality and coverage of our translations.

  • The specific wording or screen where the issue appears (a full-window screenshot, if possible)

  • The preferred translation (if known)
